Zelle® App Changes: What This Means for Users
Discover the convenient transfer option available to Credit Human members

On April 1, 2025, Zelle®, the popular person-to-person (P2P) payment service, will no longer allow users to send or receive money through the Zelle app.
What does this mean for Credit Human members who currently use Zelle?
Credit Human members who use Zelle can still send payments to non-Credit Human accounts through the Pay a Person feature in digital banking.
Pay a Person lets you easily send funds directly to another person that doesn’t bank with Credit Human. All you need is the recipient’s name and email address or phone number.
Read the steps below or watch our video tutorial to learn how.
Pay a Person in Credit Human’s digital banking step-by-step:
- Log in to digital banking
- Select “Transfer” in the bottom navigation bar (On desktop: Click on the Loan Payments and Transfers tab at the top)
- Select “Pay a Person”
- Select a debit card or checking account to send funds: We recommend selecting debit card for a fast, real-time deposit. Selecting an account to transfer funds will take 1-3 business days.
- Create a new contact by selecting + Add New Contact or select an existing contact within the directory below
- Enter the payee’s name and their email address or phone number
- Enter the transfer amount and select a send date
- Enter a personal message and create a question: To protect your accounts and sensitive information, sending funds with Pay a Person requires you to enter a personal message and create a security question with an answer the recipient must answer identically to complete the transaction
- Your recipient will get an email or text with a link notifying them you sent funds and require action for acceptance
